This pathway is designed for students who plan to pursue careers in the Arts and Communication Career Pathway. Students will be introduced to basic concepts in Visual, Fashion, Performing, Written, and Media Arts. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the following concepts will be covered:

The Maui High School ACOM (Arts and Communications) academy encourages students from 9th to 12th grade to express themselves through a variety of media while working on real world rigorous and relevant projects for school and community. A sequence of courses in photography, digital media, broadcast media, graphics and fashion allow students to develop the necessary technical and soft skills to be college and career ready. The goal of the academy is to develop students who are professional in the work place, take pride in their work, and have the persistence to pursue their goals.
